Public and private fire hydrants
Public hydrants are usually discussed with the fire authority prior to an application being submitted.
Private hydrants are often discussed with the fire authority but these are placed within private land. All fixtures and fittings are the responsibility of the customer/landowner.
Once a fire hydrant has been connected, we will ensure it is compliant.

If you require a new fire hydrant connection, please apply for a ‘Water Main Diversion’. Once we have received your application, we will be in touch within five calendar days.
